Introduce
Self tapping inserts is a kind of fastener with internal and
external thread and cutting hole or groove. There are two kinds of
materials: carbon steel and stainless steel. The surface of carbon
steel is galvanized (yellow zinc, color zinc and blue zinc), and
stainless steel is the natural color of metal.
302 type is the most widely used in all self tapping screw sleeve
products. Its two slots not only play the role of cutting, but also
have a little inward locking force.
Model 303 is a thin-walled version of 302 series, which is mainly
used in some plastic or light alloy that cannot have thick wall.
Feature
- Provide robust internal thread on soft substrate to meet the needs
of multiple maintenance and disassembly;
- It can effectively repair the damaged internal thread;
- The self tapping sleeve is used after die casting, injection
molding and other manufacturing processes, so the product structure
can be simplified and the output can be increased;
- The self tapping sleeve can bear high load, so smaller inserts can
be used to make the structural design of the product more compact.
Material
The materials used in domestic self-tapping screw sleeves are
generally carbon steel and stainless steel.
1. Carbon steel: Color-plated zinc, suitable for surface
carburizing heat treatment on aluminum alloy, copper alloy, plastic
and other substrates with low engineering strength.
2. Stainless steel SUS303 (304, 316, 316L): suitable for surface
passivation treatment on cast iron and other products with higher
strength.
